The extrusion process
Profilati Group has 3 of the most innovative, modern and sophisticated extrusion plants in the sector.

With a view to continuous technological renewal, lately a special system, one of a kind, has been installed in the Medicine plant, which is able to manage automatically the entire production process, from extrusion to heat treatment, in a totally automated way. up to the packaging of the finished product.

Quality customer service
All the production phases are constantly monitored and these checks are also extended to the external suppliers who are subject to regular audit by the quality control department of the company.
The traceability of every product of Profllati Group Is guaranteed by the application of all the steps as indicated in the Internal quality control manual, which all departments of the company follow whilst performing their duties.

Both plants have achieved the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 certification, as per certificates that can be downloaded by clicking HERE.
Profilati Spa achieved compliance with the UNI EN 15088: 2006 standard in the year 2017, making the company suitable for satisfying customer requests for the CE marking, for profiles intended for structural purposes.
Thermal treatment
On completion of the extruded process, the profiles undergo an ageing treatment in the oven for 5-7 hours at a temperature of 180°C to 185°C, thus obtaining the achievement of the required mechanical characteristics
The production plant in Medicina has two modern ageing ovens that work continuously, using an innovative entirely-automated handling system.
This system guarantees a significant increase in production levels at the same time guaranteeing maximum quality.
Assembly of the thermal break profiles
Profilati Group offers the thermal break assembly service, with new machines capable of keeping under control the assembly of each bar, highly experienced personnel, in compliance with the European standards EN 14024
The EKU thermal break is made from polyamide bars renforced with fibreglass, a material with high Insulation properties, which when Inserted between the Internal aluminium extruded profile and the external one of the door or window frame, prevents heat transmission , heat dispersion and variation in temperature.
The finishing operations
To complete the service offered to its Customers, Profilati Group offers the possibility to carry out surface finishes of various kinds on extruded aluminum profiles.
Profilati Group entrust the surface finishing of its profiles to proven external collaborators.
All are highly-specialized and certified companies that guarantee the maximum quality standards, the standard Qualicoat for the painting and the Qualanod for the anodizing,
with countless possibilities of aesthetic effects, among which:
- Powder coatings and sublimations: finishes in RAL colors and wood effect
- Anodic oxidation and electro-coloring
- Polishing, sandblasting, scratching, brushing
All profiles that have undergone a surface finishing process are carefully checked on acceptance, to verify the quality and full respect of the relevant European Criteria.
Packaging and logistics
Particular attention is given to packaging the profiles in order to guarantee the best surface protection and optimum safety during handling. A barcode is attached to every package which contains all the data necessary to trace the progress of the lot, from the date of production to the raw materials used.
In the production plant in Medicina there is a packaging department unique in the sector, which is equipped with a fully automated handling and packaging system for the extruded bars in order to optimize production times and quality.
In line with the specifications of the client, all the packaged material is carefully stored awaiting transfer to the specific industrial profile warehouse.
Warehouse for building systems
In order to guarantee the maximum efficiency, an area of over 3000 square metres has been reserved for building systems where over 2000 articles, aluminium profiles and accessories, are stored on specially designed shelving.
Thus, Clients can count on the service offered by the "Ever ready Warehouse" for all their material supply needs, even for small lots.
The modern shelving can store over 2000 items so they are always readily available for Profilati clients.
